Why do we use this Measure?

Land ownership and management are central to Aboriginal culture and to achieving reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples.

Explanation of measure

This is a measure of the area of freehold land passed back to the Aboriginal community in accordance with the Aboriginal Lands Act 1995.
