Department of Education

Why do we use this Measure?

If teachers are educated about Aboriginal culture it will enable and encourage them to communicate this to students

Explanation of measure

Percentages are calculated from data collected through the annual Department of Education schools data collection, the Corporate Report. The Department analyses schools data to calculate total number of teachers of indigenous studies who - over a three year period - have undertaken specific professional development related to their role as teachers of indigenous studies. The number is then expressed as a percentage of all teachers of indigenous studies
