The measure is the year to year change in the size of the Tasmanian population. Population sizes are estimates from the ABS as at the 30th June based on births, deaths and immigration records. The year to year change is the difference between year 1 and year 2 expressed as a percentage of year 1. For this measure, the change in the Tasmanian population is compared to the change in the Australia-wide population.
