As at 30th June 2001, there were 58.5 full-time equivalent qualified ambulance officer positions to service areas outside Greater Hobart and Greater Launceston

People who live in rural and regional areas have limited access to emergency health services. As a result, it is crucial for them to have access to qualified ambulance paramedics

Explanation of measure

The measure is a count of the number of full-time equivalent qualified ambulance officer positions that were being funded to service areas of Tasmania outside Greater Hobart (Ambulances) and Greater Launceston (Ambulances) as at the end of a financial year
