Baseline Measurement

As at the 31st December 2001, there were 1,145 persons who had been waiting for more than six months for full dentures.

Why do we use this Measure?

Improving the oral health outcomes of those most in need should be a priority

Explanation of measure

The measure is a count from a list of people eligible for public dental services who are waiting for full dentures (full upper and full lower dentures). A list is maintained in each region of the State by Oral Health Services Tasmania. The count is of the people at the end of a calendar year, who had been waiting for six months or more.
