Baseline Measurement


During the twelve month period leading up to the 2004 survey, an estimated 43.3% of people aged 14-24 had consumed an amount of alcohol that put them at risk of short-term harm.

Explanation of measure

The measure is an estimate from responses to questions asked about patterns of alcohol consumption in the National Drug Strategy Survey. The survey is conducted by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare every three years.
