During the year ending on the 30th June 2001, there were 51.8 compensation claims for every 1000 employed Tasmanians covered by the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

Explanation of measure

The measure is the number of work place injuries as indicated by claims for compensation under the Tasmanian Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988. The rate is calculated as the number of claims per 1,000 employed Tasmanians covered by the Act.
