Baseline Measurement


The trend estimate in February 2001 of the average weekly earnings of adult non-managerial female employees for full-time work paid at ordinary-hours rates in Tasmania workplaces was $676.30. This was 86.23% of the average ($784.20) for males.

Explanation of measure

The measures are trend estimates from an employer payroll survey conducted by the ABS. They are estimates of the average weekly earnings of adult non-managerial employees for full-time work paid at ordinary-hours rates. The average for female employees is expressed as a proportion of the male average.
