Baseline Measurement


In June 2002, there were an estimated 34,400 families in Tasmania with a child aged less than 12 where at least one parent was working. Of these, an estimated 11,600 families (33.7%) had at least one parent that used flexible working hours to manage child care.

Explanation of measure

The measure is an estimate from a survey conducted by the ABS. It is an estimate of proportion of families with a child aged less that 12 where at least one parent was working that was using flexible working hours to manage child care.
