Baseline Measurement


In May 2001, the trend estimate of the average weekly earnings of adult non-managerial employees for full-time work paid at ordinary-hours rates in Tasmania workplaces was $753.60. This was 91.4% of the average ($824.10) for all Australian workplaces.

Explanation of measure

The measures are trend estimates from an employer payroll survey conducted by the ABS. They are estimates of the average weekly earnings of adult non-managerial employees for full-time work paid at ordinary-hours rates. The Tasmanian average is expressed as a proportion of the Australian average.
