Baseline Measurement

In June 2001, the trend estimate of the Tasmanian labour force participation rate was 58.5%. This compared with a national rate of 63.6%.

Explanation of measure

The measures are trend estimates from the labour force survey conducted by the ABS. The estimate is the labour force participation rate. The rate for Tasmania is compared with Australia-wide rate.
